Narvaez Table

The artisan’s great uncle, Peter Narvaez, harvested the log from a walnut orchard back in 1972—before towing it to a local sawmill with the family station wagon. Peter used much of the wood throughout his life before passing the remaining slab to Bruce, who made this table as a suitable homage to his family heirloom. The table has two book matched floating shelves, curved aprons and a hand-carved under-edge table top. The artisan used strong mortise and tenon joinery and a low center of gravity for added stability.
